Cellphone-free classrooms are delivering real results for students, parents, and teachers. Kids are more focused, more engaged – and getting the chance to be kids again. I’m proud phone-free schools are making a difference.

396 million meals. 2.7 million kids served. One simple goal: making breakfast and lunch free for every student. That’s what we delivered for New York families this school year.
From protecting our communities from harmful data centers to expanding affordable child care and making sure no child goes hungry at school, I’m putting New Yorkers first.

In just one year, more than 15,000 New Yorkers have taken advantage of free community college. And we’re not stopping there. Soon tens of thousands more will be able to earn a degree tuition-free, because the cost of college should never keep someone from building a better future.
I want answers. And I want accountability. I spoke with Cornell’s president today, and the university has agreed to bring in outside counsel for an independent investigation. I’ve directed my team to look at what more we can do to strengthen protections for survivors. This culture has to stop. And in New York, we’re going to do everything we can to stop it.
We’re expanding access to free community college for tens of thousands more New Yorkers. Join me live: https://youtube.com/live/H0dYwwPqPaQ?feature=share
The allegations in the Cornell University sexual assault case are nothing short of horrifying. For any student to come forward after an experience like this takes extraordinary courage. No student should ever be left wondering whether the institutions meant to protect them will listen and act.   I support the district attorney’s decision to reopen the criminal investigation. But there are also serious questions about Cornell’s campus culture and its systems for prevention, reporting, and response.    That is why I am calling for outside counsel to conduct a transparent, independent review of the university’s response to determine whether Cornell met every obligation to protect its students and pursue justice.

Once a Chief, always a Chief. I’m proud to stand with Massapequa’s students, parents, and alumni. Kathy Hochul’s administration is threatening school funding over a team name while families struggle with high taxes and soaring bills. Our schools should be focused on educating students. As Governor, I’ll fight to protect local communities’ voice and put students first. Go Chiefs!

Kathy Hochul backed Albany’s move to overturn local school bathroom and locker room rules. I’ll fight that overreach. My Protect Our Daughters plan would reserve girls’ bathrooms, locker rooms, sports, and overnight school accommodations for biological females. Parents deserve a voice.
Kathy Hochul wants men to use our daughters’ bathrooms and locker rooms. Not when I’m Governor! My Protect Our Daughters plan would reserve girls’ bathrooms, locker rooms, sports, and overnight school accommodations for biological females. Privacy matters. Parents deserve a voice.

When schools in NYC, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Yonkers were underfunded I fought and helped win them the aid they deserved. Thank you Syracuse City Auditor @alexandermarion for your support, and highlighting the work we’ve done together to make New York a better place.

Our tax dollars should be educating our kids, supporting teachers and professors, and preparing students for successful careers. Instead, Albany is pouring money into bloated bureaucracy, waste, and costly DEI mandates. As Comptroller, I’ll audit the State Education Department, SUNY, and CUNY and expose exactly where your money is going. Every dollar wasted on political mandates is a dollar taken away from New York’s students. It’s your money. You deserve to know where it goes.

The Supreme Court is continuing down a dangerous path, letting schools ban trans students from playing on teams that align with their gender identity.   New York's laws remain unchanged by this decision, and I'll keep defending those laws and fighting for trans New Yorkers.

We won a court order blocking the Trump administration from censoring effective health education and removing transgender and nonbinary references from school programs.  We're going to continue our lawsuit to ensure young people can access accurate health information.

I'm suing the federal government for forcing states to censor health and sex education programs or lose tens of millions of dollars in funding. Politics shouldn't come before education that helps reduce teen pregnancy and dangerous STIs.
We just secured another order stopping the federal administration from illegally stripping mental health care away from the students who need it most. As our lawsuit continues, I'll keep fighting to make sure every student has access to the care they deserve and need.
In a major victory, we won our lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Education for trying to weaponize the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. Students dedicated to public service should not be punished because of petty politics.
My office stopped the Trump administration from illegally cutting student mental health funding. Every student deserves access to mental health care, no matter who they are or where they live. https://www.whec.com/top-news/lawsuit-blocks-trump-administration-from-cutting-youth-mental-health-services/
