Joined labor members at our Bronx coordinated office. Together we’ve expanded paid family leave, raised minimum wage, and made sure state infrastructure projects are built with union labor. New York was built by organized labor, and we’re going to keep it that way.

Thank you, Donald Trump. Another American manufacturer gone. 230 workers out of a job. That’s the cost of your tariffs. What’s your plan for them now?

Bush Industries, a mainstay of Chautauqua County manufacturing, is closing its ready-to-assemble furniture plant. The shutdown of the plant, just outside Jamestown, impacts more than 230 workers, according to county officials. https://buffalonews.com/news/local/business/article_3e194e17-b815-4b4a-8166-7420a5a264a4.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter_TheBuffaloNews
I’m proud to have the support of the Correction Officers’ Benevolent Associations of NYC, Orange, Rockland, and Westchester counties. Together, we’ve restored the 20-year retirement benefit and addressed workforce shortages. I'll keep fighting alongside them for safer staffing, better working conditions, and the respect they’ve earned.

Hochul flip-flops. Mamdani attacks job creators. Together, they're chasing good-paying jobs and families out of New York. We don't have a revenue problem; we have a spending problem. I'll fix it on Day One.

Every dollar stolen by Hochul's administrative fraud is a dollar that should have gone to caring for patients. It is absolutely disgusting that Kathy Hochul uses programs meant to help our most vulnerable neighbors to reward political insiders, from overpaying $286 million on a no-bid contract for healthcare testing to an $11 billion home care giveaway.

First It Was Our Jobs, Then Our Families, and Now Critical Infrastructure Jobs Are Fleeing, Too

Millions of families and businesses have already packed up and left to escape the soaring taxes, skyrocketing utility bills, and pro-criminal policies of the Hochul administration. Chasing out the people who fund this state is bad enough, but now Kathy Hochul is letting critical federal infrastructure lines flee too.

Peter came from nothing and built a successful business, creating jobs and growing New York’s economy. As governor, I’m cutting taxes, cutting utility rates, and making it easier for people like him to hire even more people. That’s how we create jobs in New York.
I didn’t grow up in politics. I worked tip-based and blue-collar jobs. I know money is earned. That’s why I’m fighting for no tax on tips.
Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers have left the state. Nearly 160 Wall Street firms followed. Jobs and investment went with them. High costs drive people out. That’s the Hochul record.

I’m proud to once again earn the support of @1199SEIU. Unions like 1199 don’t just deliver results for their 200,000+ members — they drive up wages for all workers, make all workplaces safer, and help working families across the state. Thats why I’ll always stand with labor.

I grew up in a union household and know first hand how important strong unions are. When we fight together, we win together. I’ll never stop fighting to make sure 32BJ’s members and all workers in New York always have a real chance to win.

The NYC hotel industry is launching a $500k ad campaign ahead of their contract expiring with our union. A representative for the hotel industry reportedly “raged” over our “cushy” union contract in an attempt to build sympathy for billionaire hotel owners and international corporations. The truth? Nothing about hotel work is cushy. It's back-breaking work, done by hardworking New Yorkers who are trying to survive in an unaffordable city. http://SupportHotelWorkers.com
For 100+ years, @DC9_IUPAT has provided high quality work for building + construction projects in the NYC area & Puerto Rico.   I am honored to have their endorsement as we are both dedicated to securing and improving wages, benefits, and overall working conditions for all.

When strong opportunities exist in New York, New York capital should have the opportunity to invest in them—from advanced manufacturing and technology to energy, life sciences, logistics, and other industries capable of creating jobs and long-term economic growth.

When strong opportunities exist in New York, New York capital should have the opportunity to invest in them—from advanced manufacturing and technology to energy, life sciences, logistics, and other industries capable of creating jobs and long-term economic growth.

Over the last 12 months, venture capital invested nearly $800 billion worldwide, supporting an estimated 3 to 4.5 million jobs. That money is building the future in three sectors: - Artificial intelligence: ~$490B this year, 64–80% of every venture dollar - Advanced hardware & robotics: $47.4B in the first half, nearly 4x the prior six months - Healthcare & biotech: $21.3B in the first half, with biotech IPOs already beating every full year since 2021 New York needs to be in this game, for three reasons: 1. Our pensioners deserve the best returns. U.S. venture capital posted a 17.1% one-year return, the highest of any private capital strategy. Our pension fund should be capturing that growth, with a focus on real cash returns for retirees. 2. These are the jobs of the future. With private partners matching our investment, the $10 billion Empire Opportunity Fund can create tens of thousands of high-tech jobs and more than 100,000 New York jobs in total. 3. Our kids shouldn't have to leave to build a career. Every company that grows here instead of somewhere else adds to the tax base that pays for our schools, roads and services. The question isn't whether this money gets invested. It's whether it gets invested in New York. Let's invest in New York's future and make sure it pays.

What is the life of the person who saves yours worth? One day it could be your child who stops breathing, your spouse having a heart attack, your parent suffering a stroke, or you trapped in a horrific crash. When that moment comes, an EMS professional’s skill, judgment, and courage may determine whether you live or die. Yet a new EMS professional in New York City starts at roughly $44,000–$50,000 a year, about $21–24 an hour. That’s in the same general range an experienced bicycle delivery worker can earn during active delivery hours. This isn’t a criticism of delivery workers. Every honest job deserves respect. It’s a question of whether we’re properly valuing the people who save our lives. Bringing EMS pay into closer parity with firefighters has been estimated to cost about $166 million annually. We can find that by cutting a fraction of the fraud, waste, and abuse that already drains the budget. As comptroller, I will do exactly that. Our EMS professionals don’t need another “Thank you for your service.” They deserve a paycheck that says it.

The cavalry is coming, New York! Working families have had enough of skyrocketing costs, reckless spending, and Albany politicians putting themselves first. Bruce Blakeman is ready to lead the charge, and together, we can turn this state around. On November 3rd, New Yorkers have a choice. Four more years of the same, or a new direction for our state. The insanity of our elected officials, on full display. On October 15, Mayor @ZohranKMamdani, @SenSchumer, @SenGillibrand, Leader @RepJeffries, nine New York members of Congress including @AOC and Jerry Nadler, and NYC Comptroller @MarkLevineNYC signed a letter urging private garage owners to deny space to federal law enforcement agents. Why? Because on October 8, federal agents tried to arrest Oscar Belgal in Marble Hill: a man with a grand larceny conviction, a pending felony drug-sale charge, and, according to DHS, ties to the Trinitarios gang. This year, federal prosecutors charged the gang's "Bad Boys 7" crew in a carjacking murder on the Cross County Parkway and a Bronx killing. DHS says Belgal was a target of the investigation into last year's shooting of a CBP officer, and @SecMullinDHS says he has "either indirect or direct knowledge" of it. DHS also says he rammed agents' vehicles trying to flee. This wasn't the cook at your local restaurant. How does shielding him make New York safer? Instead of asking why a man with a federal immigration detainer was back on our streets, these officials went after Target because agents parked in a lot it co-owns. This is intimidation, and it puts every business owner in this city in an impossible position. Someone should remind these elected officials that knowingly concealing or shielding someone from federal authorities is a federal crime, punishable by up to five years in prison. How do these people keep getting elected?

.@TomDiNapoli just sent Anthropic, possibly the most transformative company of our generation, a public letter demanding it rewrite its ownership structure before it even goes public. Founder-led structures like this are how Google and Meta were built. They are also why New York's pension fund made fortunes holding those stocks. DiNapoli has been Comptroller for nearly 20 years. Instead of asking how New York can share in the AI economy, he's lecturing its builders and posting about it. That's the problem with Albany. From DiNapoli to @GovKathyHochul , New York keeps sending the AI industry the same message: you're a risk to be managed, not a partner to be recruited. Meanwhile, the jobs, the capital, and the tax base are going elsewhere. I've built 12 companies and taken 5 public. I know how founders think and where they choose to grow. As Comptroller, I'll invest smartly in the companies shaping the next century. I'll hold them accountable through engagement, not press releases. And I'll fight to bring them and their ecosystems here. Our kids shouldn't have to leave New York to find the jobs of the future.

.@AnthropicAI is planning to enter the public markets as a company whose decisions reach far beyond its own success, while proposing to diminish the rights of the very shareholders who will fund it. Shareholder accountability is how risks get surfaced before they become crises. Read my letter urging them to reconsider: https://on.ny.gov/4jYE3kq
In @KathyHochul’s New York, you pay more and she takes more. Since Hochul took office… Electricity is up 48%. Gas is up 39%. Rent is up 25%. And Albany is now collecting 45% more in state taxes than when she started. New York families are getting squeezed from every direction while Albany rakes in more of your money than ever. And @TomDiNapoli, the watchdog paid to guard it, has looked the other way for nearly 20 years. Hochul spends and DiNapoli shrugs. You pay. New Yorkers need relief, not more excuses. As Comptroller, I'll follow every dollar.

Protecting the pension fund isn't just about numbers, it's about honoring the 535,000 New York retirees who dedicated their lives, missed milestones, and served our state with distinction. While @ZohranKMamdani and I are working to lower costs and deliver for New York families, one bad MAGA apple is trying to spoil the entire bunch.
Your power bill has exploded under @KathyHochul. Since 2021, delivery charges on the average NYC Con Ed bill are up 40%. That's $37 more every month. The electricity you actually use? Just 35% of your bill. The other 65% is delivery, surcharges, mandates and taxes. NYSERDA sits on $2 billion in unspent ratepayer money. @TomDiNapoli’s own audit found its electric efficiency programs hit just 33% of their goal. He wrote a report. Your bill kept climbing. As Comptroller, I'll audit every ratepayer dollar, demand unspent surcharges be returned to you, and publish every state charge on your bill. It's your money. I will get it back.

Last night at the debate, @NassauExec Bruce Blakeman didn’t just make his case; he dismantled the excuses that have defined Albany for far too long. New Yorkers deserve safe streets, an affordable place to raise their families, and a governor with the backbone to put them first. Bruce Blakeman is that leader and @KathyHochul is not.

Small business owners across New York are being crushed by skyrocketing utility bills, rising insurance costs, and the growing cost of doing business. Our bodegas and small businesses are the backbone of our communities, yet Albany continues to make it harder for them to survive. We need to lower costs, cut red tape, and make New York a place where small businesses can thrive.
