We have a duty to take care of our police officers after their service. I am proud to sign legislation that fixes inequities in their pensions and that reflect our appreciation for their work keeping New Yorkers safe.

I’ll always invest to help keep our communities safe and support our police officers doing this work.

We’re sending a strong message to ICE: You will not weaponize local police officers against our communities.   You will not use our police technology to track and detail people who’ve done nothing wrong. You will not turn our local jails into detention centers for civil enforcement. Local Cops, Local Crimes.
Proud to have the support of Upstate legislators in our fight to lower costs and deliver safer neighborhoods. Together we’ve made record housing and public safety investments and brought thousands of good-paying jobs through projects like Micron. Let’s keep this momentum going.

Public safety must always be pursued lawfully, transparently, and with humanity. In New York, local cops focus on local crime. They will not be exploited by ICE.
My job is to keep New Yorkers safe. That means keeping local law enforcement focused on protecting our communities – not acting as Trump’s ICE agents.

Local cops should be focused on local crime. Today I'm announcing the Local Cops, Local Crimes Act to stop ICE from deputizing police to do a federal agency’s job.
While my opponent Bruce Blakeman embraces ICE’s aggression, I’m working to protect New Yorkers from their overreach and make sure local law enforcement are focused on keeping our communities safe.

When power is abused, New York will act. Today, I’m announcing new actions to keep local police focused on local crime and protect New Yorkers from ICE overreach. Join me live in New York City: http://governor.ny.gov
Following the U.S. military operations in Iran overnight, @nyspolice are increasing their presence statewide at religious, cultural, and diplomatic sites with our local partners. While there are no credible threats at this time, our top priority is keeping New Yorkers safe.

Under Hochul, overall crime is up 22%. That's her record. In Nassau, I hired over 900 new law enforcement officers and made it the safest county in America.

Blakeman to Mamdani: Fire Radical Anti-Police Activist from Your Transition Team

Nassau County Executive and presumptive Republican nominee for Governor of New York, Bruce Blakeman, today called on Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani to immediately fire Kazi Fouzia from his transition team after a video surfaced in which she referred to the brave men and women of the New York City Police Department as “killers.”

Blakeman Blasts Hochul Move to Put Convicted Criminals on State Commission

Zohran Mamdani just cut law enforcement expansion from his $125B budget. @KathyHochul bailed him out and called it a "win." Crime is up double digits across NY. In Nassau, I hired 600+ officers and built the safest county in America. New Yorkers deserve a Governor who actually fights for them.
Eight shots fired on a Queens street corner before 7 AM. Two men shot and fighting for their lives. This is what failure looks like. In Nassau, I hired over 600 law enforcement officers and built the safest county in America. When I am Governor, every New Yorker gets that same safety, not just Nassau.
Assaulting a police officer is not a protest. It's a crime. The men and women of the NYPD put themselves in harm's way every day to protect New Yorkers. Anyone who attacks them should be arrested, prosecuted, and held fully accountable. I'll always back the blue.

🚨 BREAKING: Leftist rioters are now launching GLASS BOTTLES at NYPD officers in NYC following the Pride Parade tonight Glass bottles are WEAPONS. Charge them with ATTEMPTED MURDER on these officers. I’m STILL dealing with head trauma from these people cracking me in the head with a glass bottle two weeks ago. STOP ALLOWING THEM TO GET AWAY WITH THIS! https://x.com/ScooterCasterNY/status/2071395195342492115/video/1
Kathy Hochul wants to ban local police working with ICE, even though these partnerships make our streets safer. Just look at my running mate Sheriff Hood's program. No raids, no chaos. Just criminals off the streets and safer communities. I stand with law enforcement.
New York is falling apart because leaders like Kathy Hochul stopped enforcing the law. DAY 1 as Governor, I’ll put public safety first, back our police, and make New York safe again - just like I did in Nassau County.
I’ll put New York first and restore public safety. That means enforcing the law and backing our officers.
New York is too expensive to feel this unsafe. Hochul and Mamdani strain law enforcement and make it harder to remove dangerous offenders, including illegal migrants with criminal records. Safety is not partisan. When I am Governor, I will put law-abiding New Yorkers first. No matter what party they vote for.
On my watch, Nassau County removed 2,000 illegal migrants with criminal records tied to rape, attempted murder, robbery, drug dealing, and gang activity. Now Kathy Hochul wants to stop local law enforcement from working with federal law enforcement. I will not put dangerous criminals back into our neighborhoods. When I am Governor, I will stand with law enforcement, protect working families, and put the safety of New Yorkers first.
Kathy Hochul is turning down $10 BILLION in federal funding to secure our border and back law enforcement. Why does @KathyHochul keep choosing illegal aliens over New Yorkers?

Kathy Hochul is refusing to apply for federal funding that would help secure New York's northern border. I wrote to implore her to apply before the July 6 deadline. Our law enforcement officers need every available tool to protect our communities. New Yorkers deserve nothing less.
While Hochul and Mamdani waste billions of your tax money on radical experiments, New York families are being forced onto the streets. They ran out of money for our most vulnerable because their priorities are backwards. In Nassau, I've made our community safer by hiring more police. I cut taxes and helped do all this while expanding services for those most in need. When I am Governor, I'll restore sanity to New York and put our most vulnerable first.
When federal law enforcement asked for cooperation and help, Nassau County answered.
As Nassau County Executive, I cut taxes, backed law enforcement, and delivered results. New York does not have to stay broken.
Working New Yorkers are paying over $4,000 a month for the median apartment, yet face violence, disorder, and an overwhelmed law enforcement system under Kathy Hochul. You’re paying some of the highest costs in America while getting less safety and a lower quality of life. Kathy Hochul and Mamdani have enabled this chaos with sanctuary policies that drain resources and make it harder to remove dangerous offenders. In Nassau County, I rejected sanctuary policies and removed 2,000 illegal migrants with criminal records in one year. When I am Governor, I will back law enforcement, restore order, improve our quality of life, and put working families first.

This wasn’t “kids having a snowball fight,” as cop-hater @ZohranKMamdani claimed. It was an assault on New York’s Finest. An arrest is a start. But every single person who attacks a police officer should face real consequences. Law and order isn’t optional. Thank you for your service, NYPD, and all of our law enforcement. We stand with you.

Unacceptable. Our NYPD officers risk their lives every day, and they’re met with violence and disrespect. The individuals responsible must be identified, arrested, and charged with assault on a police officer. And every elected official in this city and this state must publicly condemn this attack.

While the Attorney General must investigate all police-involved shootings, those investigations should be conducted in a manner that is timely and transparent. Everyone involved — the police officers, the victims of crime, the offender’s family, and the public — deserves an answer and deserves to have confidence in the process.

The police should be held accountable, but the Attorney General should be held accountable too. The cavalry is coming, New York! Working families have had enough of skyrocketing costs, reckless spending, and Albany politicians putting themselves first. Bruce Blakeman is ready to lead the charge, and together, we can turn this state around. On November 3rd, New Yorkers have a choice. Four more years of the same, or a new direction for our state. It’s time to take New York back!

The insanity of our elected officials, on full display. On October 15, Mayor @ZohranKMamdani, @SenSchumer, @SenGillibrand, Leader @RepJeffries, nine New York members of Congress including @AOC and Jerry Nadler, and NYC Comptroller @MarkLevineNYC signed a letter urging private garage owners to deny space to federal law enforcement agents. Why? Because on October 8, federal agents tried to arrest Oscar Belgal in Marble Hill: a man with a grand larceny conviction, a pending felony drug-sale charge, and, according to DHS, ties to the Trinitarios gang. This year, federal prosecutors charged the gang's "Bad Boys 7" crew in a carjacking murder on the Cross County Parkway and a Bronx killing. DHS says Belgal was a target of the investigation into last year's shooting of a CBP officer, and @SecMullinDHS says he has "either indirect or direct knowledge" of it. DHS also says he rammed agents' vehicles trying to flee. This wasn't the cook at your local restaurant. How does shielding him make New York safer? Instead of asking why a man with a federal immigration detainer was back on our streets, these officials went after Target because agents parked in a lot it co-owns. This is intimidation, and it puts every business owner in this city in an impossible position. Someone should remind these elected officials that knowingly concealing or shielding someone from federal authorities is a federal crime, punishable by up to five years in prison. How do these people keep getting elected?

Great people, rich history, and some of the best apple fritters I’ve ever had! Had a fantastic time at the Town of Clay Historical Festival in Onondaga County with @BullerforNY, @kelly4assembly, and Kevin Meaker. It’s communities like Clay, where neighbors come together and local traditions are kept alive, that make Upstate New York so special!

.@TomDiNapoli just sent Anthropic, possibly the most transformative company of our generation, a public letter demanding it rewrite its ownership structure before it even goes public. Founder-led structures like this are how Google and Meta were built. They are also why New York's pension fund made fortunes holding those stocks. DiNapoli has been Comptroller for nearly 20 years. Instead of asking how New York can share in the AI economy, he's lecturing its builders and posting about it. That's the problem with Albany. From DiNapoli to @GovKathyHochul , New York keeps sending the AI industry the same message: you're a risk to be managed, not a partner to be recruited. Meanwhile, the jobs, the capital, and the tax base are going elsewhere. I've built 12 companies and taken 5 public. I know how founders think and where they choose to grow. As Comptroller, I'll invest smartly in the companies shaping the next century. I'll hold them accountable through engagement, not press releases. And I'll fight to bring them and their ecosystems here. Our kids shouldn't have to leave New York to find the jobs of the future.

.@AnthropicAI is planning to enter the public markets as a company whose decisions reach far beyond its own success, while proposing to diminish the rights of the very shareholders who will fund it. Shareholder accountability is how risks get surfaced before they become crises. Read my letter urging them to reconsider: https://on.ny.gov/4jYE3kq
In @KathyHochul’s New York, you pay more and she takes more. Since Hochul took office… Electricity is up 48%. Gas is up 39%. Rent is up 25%. And Albany is now collecting 45% more in state taxes than when she started. New York families are getting squeezed from every direction while Albany rakes in more of your money than ever. And @TomDiNapoli, the watchdog paid to guard it, has looked the other way for nearly 20 years. Hochul spends and DiNapoli shrugs. You pay. New Yorkers need relief, not more excuses. As Comptroller, I'll follow every dollar.

Protecting the pension fund isn't just about numbers, it's about honoring the 535,000 New York retirees who dedicated their lives, missed milestones, and served our state with distinction. We have a solemn fiduciary duty to make sure our retirees have the secure retirement they earned. As your next Comptroller, I intend to keep that promise.

While @ZohranKMamdani and I are working to lower costs and deliver for New York families, one bad MAGA apple is trying to spoil the entire bunch.
Your power bill has exploded under @KathyHochul. Since 2021, delivery charges on the average NYC Con Ed bill are up 40%. That's $37 more every month. The electricity you actually use? Just 35% of your bill. The other 65% is delivery, surcharges, mandates and taxes. NYSERDA sits on $2 billion in unspent ratepayer money. @TomDiNapoli’s own audit found its electric efficiency programs hit just 33% of their goal. He wrote a report. Your bill kept climbing. As Comptroller, I'll audit every ratepayer dollar, demand unspent surcharges be returned to you, and publish every state charge on your bill. It's your money. I will get it back.

Last night at the debate, @NassauExec Bruce Blakeman didn’t just make his case; he dismantled the excuses that have defined Albany for far too long. New Yorkers deserve safe streets, an affordable place to raise their families, and a governor with the backbone to put them first. Bruce Blakeman is that leader and @KathyHochul is not.

Small business owners across New York are being crushed by skyrocketing utility bills, rising insurance costs, and the growing cost of doing business. Our bodegas and small businesses are the backbone of our communities, yet Albany continues to make it harder for them to survive. We need to lower costs, cut red tape, and make New York a place where small businesses can thrive.
