No one should have to fear being punished for seeking or providing reproductive care. As anti-abortion extremists in other states try to reach across our borders and threaten patients and providers, New York will continue to fight back.

Louisiana AG Liz Murrill fires back at blue-state governors who refused to extradite doctors accused of shipping abortion pills into ban states — filing two lawsuits that take aim at both the providers and the shield laws protecting them. Murrill, joined by the attorneys general of Alabama and Arkansas, sued New York, California and Massachusetts at the Supreme Court, alleging their shield laws block cooperation with criminal investigations. A separate 100-page complaint targets more than 30 people and organizations accused of advertising, prescribing and shipping abortion drugs into states where distribution is prohibited. New York Gov. Hochul declared there was "no way in hell" she'd comply with Louisiana's extradition request. California Gov. Newsom told Murrill to "go f*** yourself." Murrill's response: "I said specifically at the time that we would be coming for them and we are." I’m grateful to have the endorsement of @PPESVotesPAC. In the face of relentless federal attacks, we’ve made New York a safe haven for women’s rights, and reproductive freedom. But we know there’s more work to be done. We will always stand up for the residents of this state.

Nice try @KenPaxtonTX. I signed our shield law in 2022 because I knew states like Texas would target doctors for simply doing their job. New York will always fight to protect patients seeking reproductive care and those who provide it.

Title X provides reproductive health care, cancer screenings, and affordable contraception for millions of Americans. The federal administration is trying to strip this funding to force states to carry out its agenda. We stopped them before, and we'll do it again: I’m suing.

Across the country, states are stripping patients of their fundamental rights. Not in New York. Our state has always been a safe haven for reproductive freedom. It was true before Roe, it has been true since Dobbs, and it'll remain true long after this lawsuit inevitably fails.
Louisiana, Alabama, and Arkansas are asking the Supreme Court to let them impose their abortion bans on New York and punish our doctors for providing legal health care. I'll fight with everything in my power to defend our shield law and protect every provider and patient.
I'm glad the court properly interpreted New York's shield law to prevent Texas from trying to enforce its abortion laws against New Yorkers. New York will stand strong as a safe haven for health care and freedom of choice. https://www.timesunion.com/hudsonvalley/news/article/texas-lawsuit-ulster-county-clerk-abortion-doctor-21131493.php
This administration keeps trying to use federal funding to force states to carry out its agenda, and time and again, we have stopped them. We're going back to court again. https://www.reuters.com/legal/litigation/us-states-sue-block-new-conditions-family-planning-grants-2026-08-27/
AI Chatbots are directing people to an anti-abortion hotline that pushes an unproven "abortion pill reversal."   There's no scientific proof that an "abortion pill reversal" is safe or that this treatment works.   This guidance is incredibly dangerous. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-11-20/ai-chatbots-give-harmful-tip-to-users-seeking-abortion-reversal

No family should have to worry about affording heat when the temperatures drop. Washington Republicans may be willing to leave New Yorkers out in the cold, but your family is my fight. Our Home Energy Assistance Program will help families pay their heating bills and keep their homes warm this winter. Applications open November 2: http://ny.gov/HEAP

Tremendous thanks to @SamBergerNY and Rabbi Michael Weichselbaum for welcoming me to Queens. I met with the Yeshiva community leaders to discuss how we’re making our streets safer, our schools stronger, and building a New York where Jewish families and students can thrive.

I’m proud to have the endorsement of the Mental Health PAC. From committing nearly $2 billion in mental health care to holding tech companies accountable for keeping kids safe online, we'll keep fighting to ensure that every New Yorker has the support they need.

At least four people murdered at an elementary school in Oregon. Three of them children. Three kids who should have come home to their families tonight. How many more of our babies have to die before Washington finally finds the courage to stand up to the gun lobby and put our children first?

At least three children and one adult were killed in a shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon, on Thursday, multiple law enforcement sources told CBS News. The suspect, who was 16 years old, was shot and killed by a bystander, law enforcement sources said. https://cbsn.ws/3TVTMX5
Right here at the Bryant Park station, the @MTA is building the first elevator funded by congestion pricing. Business is up, traffic is down. Now we’re putting billions to work on transit upgrades that will improve the rides of millions.
Stopped by Hell’s Kitchen with @ebottcher, @tonysimone, @CarlMichaelW, and Allen Roskoff. It was great to meet with staff and patrons, and talk to the local businesses who have done a wonderful job turning their establishments into welcoming spaces for our LGBTQ+ neighbors.

While @ZohranKMamdani and I are working to lower costs and deliver for New York families, one bad MAGA apple is trying to spoil the entire bunch.

Unlike Bruce Blakeman, we don’t use AI to make our videos. So everything in this one is real. Election Day is November 3rd. Early Voting starts October 24th and runs until November 1st.
We have 19 days to mobilize every corner of this state. 19 days to talk about how we’ll lower costs, keep our communities safe, and stand up to Trump. I know @AdrienneEAdams and I won’t take our feet off the gas. We’re going to make sure New Yorkers know we’re fighting for them.

Every child deserves a safe place to play, make friends and just be a kid. That’s why we’re investing $10 million in the Jackson Heights Boys & Girls Club community center, giving more kids a place to grow and make memories.
