If the killing of civilians at the hands of Trump’s ICE agents isn’t an atrocity to my opponent Bruce Blakeman, then he has no business running for higher office.

As the granddaughter of Irish immigrants, I am heartened to see the Supreme Court's decision rejecting the Trump administration's cruel attack on birthright citizenship. For generations, immigrants have come to New York in search of freedom and opportunity, helping build the strongest, most vibrant state in the nation. The Statue of Liberty stands proudly in our harbor, and New York will always stand with those seeking the promise of America.
We need leaders who will stand up to Donald Trump and ICE’s abuses of power. Governor @KathyHochul and I will keep fighting to put New Yorkers' rights first.

My job is to keep New Yorkers safe. That means keeping local law enforcement focused on protecting our communities – not acting as Trump’s ICE agents.
When ICE abuses their power, New York is going to hold them accountable.
The Trump administration’s decision to end Temporary Protected Status for immigrants is reckless and inhumane. It will also impact critical healthcare services that New Yorkers rely on. I’ll keep fighting to protect the future of every New Yorker.

Today I heard from New Yorkers who bore witness to ICE's cruel tactics and flagrant abuses of power. The laws we just enacted will protect our communities, our neighbors, and the constitutional rights of every New Yorker.

While my opponent Bruce Blakeman embraces ICE’s aggression, I’m working to protect New Yorkers from their overreach and make sure local law enforcement are focused on keeping our communities safe.

Let’s be clear about what happened: ICE agents didn't have the proper warrant, so they lied to gain access to a student’s private residence. I’ve proposed a bill that would ban ICE from entering sensitive locations like schools and dorms. Let’s get it passed now.

BREAKING: In an email to the Columbia University community, President Claire Shipman says that DHS agents detained a Columbia student in university housing this morning after apparently misrepresenting themselves to gain entry
My MAGA opponent, Bruce Blakeman, is running on defending Trump’s policies. He embraces ICE’s overreach. He supports Trump's abuses of power. For him, it's all about loyalty to the President. But we’ve had enough. That’s why we’re fighting to protect New Yorkers.

Public safety must always be pursued lawfully, transparently, and with humanity. In New York, local cops focus on local crime. They will not be exploited by ICE.
Bruce Blakeman has an armed MAGA militia. And he wants to keep enabling Trump’s ICE agents to terrorize communities even more. None of that makes New Yorkers safe.

We’re sending a strong message to ICE: You will not weaponize local police officers against our communities.   You will not use our police technology to track and detail people who’ve done nothing wrong. You will not turn our local jails into detention centers for civil enforcement. Local Cops, Local Crimes.
I had the chance to speak with the Korea Daily about how Governor @KathyHochul and I will fight to hold ICE accountable, lower costs for all New Yorkers, and make our communities safer.

Local cops should be focused on local crime. Today I'm announcing the Local Cops, Local Crimes Act to stop ICE from deputizing police to do a federal agency’s job.
This weekend, I visited businesses in Nassau County who are hurting because of ICE overstepping. While Bruce Blakeman thinks they’re doing a “good job,” Governor Hochul is fighting to hold ICE accountable.

New York will not tolerate abuses of power by ICE. We must hold them accountable.

The way DHS and ICE currently operate is a joke. We need to clean house, kick their asses out of town, and start over.
Bruce Blakeman says ICE is doing a “very good job.” He calls Americans who speak up for their rights “paid professional agitators.” I’m fighting for accountability, safety, and the rule of law. That’s the difference.

Renée Good was murdered by a federal agent. Reassigning Jonathan Ross is not accountability. If he’s in New York, he must be removed immediately.
My Republican opponent thinks ICE is doing a good job. I don't know what planet he's on.

I’m relieved Ellie has been released. Once again, the White House is being forced to correct its own failures. Entering a student dorm under false pretenses is a gross abuse of power. New York will act to ensure it never happens again.

Blakeman: Hochul Let Our Trains and Airports Turn Into Homeless Camps — I'll Clean Them Up

New York is too expensive to feel this unsafe. Hochul and Mamdani strain law enforcement and make it harder to remove dangerous offenders, including illegal migrants with criminal records. Safety is not partisan. When I am Governor, I will put law-abiding New Yorkers first. No matter what party they vote for.

On my watch, Nassau County removed 2,000 illegal migrants with criminal records tied to rape, attempted murder, robbery, drug dealing, and gang activity. Hochul's Energy Mandates Are Driving Electric Bills to Record Highs

Statement from Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman on Governor Hochul's Intent to Ban Local Cooperation with Federal Law Enforcement

Nassau County Executive and Republican candidate for Governor Bruce Blakeman today slammed Governor Kathy Hochul’s proposal to ban local law enforcement partnerships with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), warning it will tie the hands of police and endanger communities across New York.

Hochul made New York the most overtaxed state in America. Electric bills 70% higher than the national average. Dead last in economic outlook. $8 billion of your tax money spent on illegal migrants instead of you. I will cut your electric bill in half and make New York affordable on Day One.
Kathy Hochul is proud. Proud to let violent criminals walk free. Proud to put illegal immigrants ahead of you. New Yorkers are paying the price for her pride. Higher bills. More crime. Less safety. When I am Governor, New York works for New Yorkers again. Not for Kathy Hochul’s agenda.
Kathy Hochul wants to ban local police working with ICE, even though these partnerships make our streets safer. Just look at my running mate Sheriff Hood's program. No raids, no chaos. Just criminals off the streets and safer communities. I stand with law enforcement.
Kathy Hochul claims ICE agents want to terrorize people. This is ICE protest happened outside a building in New York this week. Where’s the terror, Kathy?
Hochul lying again! My plan will make it easy for hard-working, long-term, law-keeping residents to become citizens. I’ll be a compassionate governor who’ll cut taxes, cut electric costs, protects jobs, and the rights of all. Hochul? Lying about me and lying to New York. Change it. Elect me, Bruce Blakeman, as your Governor.
Kathy Hochul is turning down $10 BILLION in federal funding to secure our border and back law enforcement. Why does @KathyHochul keep choosing illegal aliens over New Yorkers?

Kathy Hochul is refusing to apply for federal funding that would help secure New York's northern border. I wrote to implore her to apply before the July 6 deadline. Our law enforcement officers need every available tool to protect our communities. New Yorkers deserve nothing less.
New York will not be a sanctuary state when I’m Governor. The law will be enforced. Criminals will be held accountable. And New Yorkers will come first.
Working New Yorkers are paying over $4,000 a month for the median apartment, yet face violence, disorder, and an overwhelmed law enforcement system under Kathy Hochul. You’re paying some of the highest costs in America while getting less safety and a lower quality of life. Kathy Hochul and Mamdani have enabled this chaos with sanctuary policies that drain resources and make it harder to remove dangerous offenders. In Nassau County, I rejected sanctuary policies and removed 2,000 illegal migrants with criminal records in one year. When I am Governor, I will back law enforcement, restore order, improve our quality of life, and put working families first.

.@ZohranKMamdani — NYC has a $12.5 BILLION deficit. It can be cut to $0 without raising taxes. Here’s how. Before asking working families to pay more, City Hall should stop ignoring obvious waste: - $4.0B ending migrant and sanctuary-city spending abuses - $2.5B ending overtime abuse and enforcing agency attrition - $1.75B cutting DOE bureaucracy, not classrooms - $1.25B eliminating wasteful consultants and no-bid contracts - $1.0B ending failed economic development programs - $1.25B reducing waste in health and social services - $750M delaying non-essential capital projects TOTAL SAVINGS: $12.5B DEFICIT: $0 Raising taxes while $12.5B in waste sits in plain sight is not progressive. It’s irresponsible. New Yorkers don’t need bigger government. They need competent management, real audits, and fiscal discipline.
